TJX/ Marshalls had a similar breach back in 2007

The company incurred costs of more than $250 million as a result of the security breach, which went toward covering lawsuits, investigations and improvements to its tech infrastructure. Although a significant amount of money, it’s still a drop in the bucket compared to TJX’s $18.6 billion in sales in the 2007 fiscal year, an increase of 7% from the previous year. The company’s revenue has continued to grow since then and topped $25 billion in 2012.

Interesting. Maybe TJX/Marshalls customers are gluttons for punishment. Or, there are less and less places to shop, so you have to go where you can. But still interesting in that there wasn’t even a drop that year.
