Up at 4 AM, preparing mentally for my hobby—keeping this place from falling to crap. Today’s activity is replacing the garage door springs, one of the DIY projects with a significant fatality rate. At least that’s what the many Youtube instructionals say.

Purchase your replacement spring(s) from a local garage door supply/repair shop.

The owner/service guy will tell you how many turns needed to properly tension the assist springs.
