The cure is work. Engage in the long, slow, planned effort to rebuild the only possible instrument that could displace the Trumpisti. That’s the damaged, corrupt, human Democratic Party. Work for the unexciting old crap like solidarity, party discipline, voters’ rights, and GOTV.

It will be harder and more expensive because we just blew a free-throw.

But that’s the thing. I’m not convinced anymore that all of that can do any more than slow the bleeding. I’m terrified that we’ve already gone beyond the tipping point of being able to stop anything.
