Birx’s spot in the history of CV-19 will be like that of Chamberlain in WWII: Hopelessly naive at best, disastrously incompetent at worst. it’s nicer to think that the reason she so badly botched predicting the way this outbreak would unfold because she was wildly optimistic, rather than the more likely reality that she played politics to gain Trump’s favor while Dr. Fauci stuck to the data and thus drew Needy Amin’s ire.
