Fair enough, but teachers don’t have a 150 year history of beating and killing workers, civil rights proponents and anybody who was too dark or too uppity.

On the one hand, we send our police out into a war zone with a population that is often armed and potentially dangerous. They tend to shoot first and assess the situation later.

Still, police know that they can act with relative immunity and impunity and too many of them take undue advantage of it.
