Well, what else is he gonna say? If that’s all he’s got (and it is) that’s all he’s got.

It was rude, juvenile, and beneath his dignity as a member of Congress. If he’d apologized and gone away and shut up for a bit, it would pass. But no, it’s his moment to shine, as he thinks.
