re: #718 opnion

I had FNC on while reading the Morning newspapers. The guest was Ann Coulter. I know that she is not a favorite here, but she amuses me.
Anyway they talked about Olberman & how he has misrepresented his academic credentials.
He asserts that he went to Cornell. Apparently he did , but not that Corell.
He went to a Cornell Ag school. Anybody know anything about that?

Cornell has a state school (SUNY) along with the private university. Alfred University has something similar. Tuition is a fraction of the cost of the other departments ($10k vs $18k per semester for undergrad) in the university because the state picks up a big portion of the tab.

College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is one of three undergraduate colleges at Cornell that are affiliated with the State University of New York (SUNY). As a New York State “state-assisted college” we have a unique responsibility to educate and conduct research and public service programs that will benefit the people of the state. In return, the state contributes a portion of our operating expenses which provides funds for student support, faculty and improved classrooms and laboratories. It also helps keep our tuition low, making your Cornell degree more affordable.
