That is certainly true between the end of reconstruction and the start of the civil rights era.

It would be nice to see wingnuts be forthright about the Southern Strategy and the post civil rights era realignment.

It’s mostly for internal consumption and for lapsed Republicans.

Though some of them DO think we’re dumb enough not to believe our own eyes to see that some folks changed parties in the 50s and 60s.
