I received a letter from my State electricity provider, asking me to “voluntarily” give them control of my thermostat.

That will be a cold day in hell before the State gets control of my thermostat.

I’ll set my thermostat to whatever temperature pleases me. It is not Greepeace’s business.

The local utility company has control of mine, but it was voluntary and saves me quite a bit of money. It cycles off now and then, but I never really notice it.
