That would be an odd situation but I could see that happening. They would be expected to see the blonde haired and blue eyed man as the uberman. Anything else would be seen as antithetical to the Nazi ideology.

I guess you’re right. It was supposed to be a joke, but stranger things. And come to think of it, it’s common today in various forms.
