I am assuming he wouldn’t be put in general population at even a low security prison. There must be some prison with some space to set aside so that he wouldn’t actually be in contact with other prisoners, and so that Secret Service agents would not have to deal with anyone other than prison staff (presumably the ones assigned to that area would be carefully vetted.) He has put the Secret Service through enough; they don’t need any extra shit on his behalf.
I still think you are right - I won’t get to see him locked up. I think the stress of a criminal trial, knowing he is finally in a situation he can’t lie or weasel his way out of, would kill him well before the rendering of a verdict. I don’t think he could avoid a trial by plea bargaining - I don’t think he would let his lawyers concede any culpability on his part, and I really don’t see him enunciating his bad deeds either.
