So sites like newsmax are saying that the verdict was the result of public pressure and not due process:

How can we expect police to keep public order if we do not let them get away with committing acts of premeditated violence with impunity?

It would appear they are losing the narrative, since so many police and sheriffs’ departments are saying as far as they can see the verdict was a just outcome.
