I would love to see Putin order a general mobilization and watch what happens in Russia. It won’t help them in Ukraine; it would take months to train new conscripts, and they wouldn’t be able to equip them anyway.

I expect he is going to slowly ramp up the shelling and bombing of civilian targets to put more pressure on Ukraine to come to terms in order to “prevent needless deaths”.
