The JPost article in this commented on the unusually large number of mortar shells in the shipment, asking whether this indicated that Hezbollah plans to make greater use of mortars in any future conflict. 120mm mortars are relatively short range weapons (10 km at the outside) so this is not a threat to Israeli cities. What else they are planning is anyone’s guess.

Israel itself learned many, many lessons from the ‘06 conflict, not all of which have been discussed publicly. I suspect that they will take a completely different approach next time and unveil a few surprises in technology, tactics, and operational strategy.

exactly…most of this ordnance is toe to toe…massive front line barrage and if Hezbollah has the stomach for that kind of fight, they will have to wait in long lines to meet their virgins…the kill ratio will astound people…more excessive retaliation bullshit
