People still don’t have much of a sense of humor.

Interestingly, while I don’t like Shirley Jackson’s horror (regardless how many horror movies they spawned), I really liked her ‘dark Erma Bombeck’ tales. And I frequently tell people to seek and read IOU to understand - really and truly UNDERSTAND - money (while reading a humorous and well-written short story at the same time.)
