Being slightly serious - Who buys new? All of mine are from Pre-Played, Game-Spot or the local Pawn America :D Saw a 3DS for $129 the other day but didn’t have the cash. My son recently got a refurbed DSlite for $80. My own 1st gen was $50 at the pawn shop. I sold my dead ones to a local refub guy who uses the functional parts bringing my real cost down even further. Just a thought.

Yeah, I considered that, but I’d still have to sell more stuff to afford a working one. I could dump cash on a new one, but the last time I did that (early ’90s for a new car stereo) I ended up eating nothing but egg noodles and corned beef hash for a month. Fuck that.

And the neighbor’s son pretty much asked that same question: “Why not just buy a new XBox”?

“Because I ain’t got “New XBox” money, stupid. Why else would I be taking this fucking thing apart myself”?
