That one is very close to being my number one pick, but Time Enough At Last is just so fucked up beyond words that it’s at the top.

There are just a few Speculative Fiction writers whose body of short story work transcends their peers. There is a huge population that generated a few great short stories, but the masters of the form are few and far between. Harlan Ellison, Roger Zelazny, James Tiptree Jr. (Alice Sheldon), Samuel R. Delaney, and Bruce Sterling come to mind. Go to your local used bookstore, buy their collections, and be amazed.
