It just chaps my hide that friends who graduated two years later than me who have done real labor all their lives (as opposed to tech labor) already have to retire two years later than me to get full Social security, now they are going to screw the same batch of people on medicare eligibility age. IT’s just freaking wrong if they go there.
Life expectancy is going up but most of that is among the rich and the very young (infant mortality going down). It shouldn’t affect when a laborer or janitor gets to retire.
