I might be more sympathetic for the protesters if they weren’t so fucking ignorant. This healthcare bill is SO anti-abortion that feminist groups are up in arms at the Obama administration over it.

There is absolutely no federal funding for abortions to the point where women who want abortion coverage have to seek a special abortion coverage rider that they must pay for out of their own pockets, with no federal dollars even allowed to pay for a subsidy. How the fuck can anyone who has actually read the bill think it has government funding for abortion?

That’s a perfectly legitimate argument even though I’m not sure I agree and since the president felt it necessary to sign an executive order there was obviously some disagreement on a number sides.

What bothers me about this whole “OMG, they’re going to kill us alllll!” is my belief that it is an attempt to shut down dissent. We elect and pay citizens to go to washington and make the tough choices. They have to expect that not everyone is going to agree with their votes. If they’re too afraid to take angry phone calls then they need to find another job.
