Of course not. They believe they are elected to rule over others. Silly people who think they can just vote for them and hold them accountable!

Best lesson I ever got in my government class was that while we did elect senators and representatives, we often did not know what was contained in various bills (this was before the Internet era, obviously) and therefore we were told: do not be surprised if elected officials do not vote the way you want, because you may not know everything that’s going on with a bill.

Alas, he should have also taught us about earmarks. That would have explained a lot.

Even worse, Obama is normalizing deception. Our of one side of his mouth he demands accountability and an end to earmarks, all while he majestically signs his name to endless new entitlements, pay-to-play paybacks, & bottomless pork and ear-mark spending bills.
