Right, they have been there for a much shorter time and that is why the Muslim claim was certainly weaker… but you objected to that… Please man, why are you trying to play silly logic games with me. It’s insulting.

I’m not trying to play logic games with you, nor am I trying to insult you.

I’m trying to understand your argument over the Temple Mount. It seems to me there are two possibilities:

1) Claims to ownership are based on religious belief (I don’t think you’re making this argument)

2) Claims to ownership are based on a combination of length of ownership and “cultural importance” (which we will assume can be measured).

I think you are arguing from position 2 that the Jewish people have a unique claim to the Temple Mount, and that Muslim claims to it are not legitimate. My argument is that position 2 also leads to a legitimate Muslim claim to the site, since they satisfy its prerequisites. Maybe not as “strong” a claim (whatever that means) but a claim nonetheless.
