Just pointing out that it would be a lot easier to switch our health care if we were at 5% of GDP rather than 17%. 1/6th of our economy is huge.

I think, ultimately, it is going to take bringing the top CEO salaries down to earth from the stratosphere, and some decent tax rates on the super wealthy. We have shifted so far already in favor of the wealthy that it is going to be very hard to come back. Perhaps that needs to precede universal health care, or perhaps universal health care is a start to coming back. I’m not smart enough to know.
