Nope, he was embarrassed by the bill and wanted as little press as possible. He did use the occasion to promote the new earmark policy I just posted. I’d rather had him veto the damn thing even at the risk of pissing off both sides. If he really gets his reforms passed, I’ll let him slide, but no has stopped the pork train and many have tried.

If he’s that damned embarrassed, he could send it back or VETO it. Anything else is a smokescreen.
