She called out the party.

Look; I don’t think she’s “unqualified”, in the strict sense of the word. Yes, she’s get a pretty accomplished legal background; and yes, she’s a Circuit Court judge, which is a traditional (and logical) stepping stone to SCOTUS.

Now; is she an exceptional Circuit Court judge? Doesn’t seem to be the case. And so it bothers me that her defenders seem to have to switch to talking about her… well, identity… as opposed to her legal scholarship.

I don’t think she’s a disaster, and I think the word “racist” is overwrought in describing her. But it’s perfectly appropriate to criticize this appointment.
