The key here is if Romney is the candidate would be to create a strong level of disillusion amongst Republican voters. The Obama camp needs to foment apathy with those voters. That means bringing up right wing talking points such as the few points I brought up here. So you have to let these Republican voters know, “did you know that Romney supported the Brady Bill?” The big one of course is Romney Care.

You’re right, and I’m not accusing you of encouraging it, but it’s a depressing statement about our system of government that a path to victory is as much about convincing your opponent’s supporters not to vote as it is about convincing them about the wisdom of your beliefs and policies.
