Really? I’m pretty sure that gun shop owners, strip club and adult bookstore proprietors all have strong political beliefs regarding the Constitutionally protected status of their respective businesses. Yet those opinions frequently fail to protect them from local sensitivities.

I don’t recall the specifics of the zoning issues, but if they weren’t letting other fast food restaurants locate there, that’s fine. When the politicians got involved, it was definitely more of a “we don’t want their kind here” and that really isn’t OK.
