No need. Just had to remember our observations Re: Rhodesia and Roof. Solzhenitsyn and I don’t discount his importance in exposing to the West the horrors of the gulags ended up being a pretty big bigot and anti-Democratic in his own way.
As bad as Mugabe has been for Zimbabwe, Ian Smith’s Rhodesia was much worse for the population. Mugabe is a power-hungry, corrupt politician who will die sometime in the next decade. Smith was fascist dictator who treated the black majority like animals.
I confess to being largely ignorant about Solzhenitsyn, aside from his exposing the gulags. I can see why Rage Furby likes him now.
