Apparently the Charlie Gird business is boiled down to the usual: “It’s run by unfeeling bureaucrats! If they cared, they’d let the parents take him to the US or let him die at home!”
Meanwhile, if Charlie Gird were a US citizen, he’d have been dead months ago when the insurance company stopped the money flow and the hospital informed the parents that failure to pay would mean cessation of care.
I assume they mean “If they cared, they’d let the parents take him to the U.S. AND STILL PAY ALL THE BILLS.”
I don’t think England is preventing anyone from coming to the U.S. for medical care. England isn’t Cuba or NK.
