I’m feeling a sort of shadenfreude at the surprise and puzzlement of Obama supporters including Jews who had the audacity to dare to believe a known prevaricator.

I was thinking a few days ago that we’re going to need a new version of schadenfreude for the Obama years, a schadenfreude that you really don’t want to experience, because of the real world circumstances that engender it.
“Unbefriedigendes schadenfreude” (Unsatisfactory schadenfreude)
or
“Unglckliche Ironie (Unhappy Irony)
