As a country we will pay for this folly, and others like it, when we are hit again with a big attack.

You can just see it coming.

We let our enemies have whole countries as sanctuaries where they can raise any army, build any weapon, hatch any plot, and we are too chicken to waterboard the ones we catch to get information about what they are doing in their safe areas.

We are nuts anymore.
