Palin could surprise a lot of people. She may not be the brightest bulb in the bunch, but speeches like the one she gave at the RNC are appealing to many on the right (and some on the moderate left).

If she can tune her message better, tone down the religious rhetoric, and exaggerate less, she could be a major force in American politics.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
