Mark Steyn is one of the most brilliant social commentators of our time. If you don’t know who he is, and how good he is, you might as well find a nice big mushroom to live under. Or, pick up a collection of his writings. Or, you could hang out at HuffPo and read the cream of that crop, like the one today who wrote that Mary Jo just might have felt it was worth it, the way she gave her life for her country.

I don’t disagree, but in this specific case, he is commenting out of his ass. Again, take a look at the R’s who are speaking at Teddy’s funeral. These are people who actually knew him, worked with him, and deeply respected him. Steyn has none of their insight and knowledge and feels comfortable in bloviating.

Pitiful.
