Any veteran who suffered physical injury or illness deserves to be taken care of. An awful lot of “non-combat” types got injured by rocket and mortar fire and a helluva lot of them also got slammed by Agent Orange.

All of my husband’s injuries were stateside. Some young man who didn’t throw his grenade after pulling the pin caused injury to those nearby…that was in ITR training. It’s quite probable that that incident caused the scar tissue in his brain and thus his adult onset hydrocephalus. Not to mention he got a stab wound from some Weather Underground members. They should give a medal for victims of domestic terrorism.
