It is a sort of odd “ethnicity” that includes (putatively) Nuhuatl-speaking Mayans-descended people from Mexico, and blue-eyed, German-surnamed people from Argentina.

Reminds me of someone I worked with. When asked
“Where are you from? Guatemala, was it?”
he answered
“Lowell [MA]”

He did have the Central American Indian look. Great guy.
