Hold on. I am not in favor of government intervention, I’m in favor of family planning, period. I added the caveat about government intervention, because there are so many horrific stories out there to choose from in terms of government interference. And I include denial of access to safe birth control and abortion under that rubric.

But people who are able to choose when and how many children they will have are inherently in a better situation than people who cannot. Which is why I am in favor of scattering birth control and family planning education across the globe, even if you could prove to me conclusively that it would do nothing to solve global warming issues.

Then we’re on the same page, and I’m glad you clarified this. I agree family planning education is important, across the globe, even, as you say, it does nothing to solve global warming issues. Check your last sentence in the post I referenced - it was - oddly worded, leaving me confused, I guess, as to what you meant.
