If anything Zombieland is a great counterpoint to The Walking Dead. Both feature zombies, but at least Zombieland won’t drive you to drink because of all the heavy drama.

Great story, but man, is The Walking Dead depressing as all hell.

Yeah, it has some of the most disturbing content I’ve ever read. There might be a tv series based on it, on AMC.
