I get the sense that so far, no one has noticed. This reeks of SOP and makes me wonder how many cases they’ve run just like this one that haven’t gotten this level of attention.

Maybe a cop didn’t kill someone before this, but what if they handled a robbery, or a domestic dispute or a drug bust or whatever in the same exact way? Wouldn’t that call all their cases and convictions into question?

Considering the city’s revenue stream, it seems clear that the people of Ferguson have been harassed and fined beyond redemption. That a kid is gunned down for jaywalking by an enraged, asshole cop that is covered up by a corrupt department somehow doesn’t seem like much of a stretch.
