Closest I’ve ever had was a letter printed in Foreign Policy. I pointed out that one article worked from the incorrect assumption that capitalism is an ethical system. Capitalism, I said, is just a tool and can only do what its operators direct it to do.

The author of the article even replied to me. He called me an idiot, although in barely more polite terms than that.
