There would be nothing illegal about a red state mosque arming its members, buying its own shooting range, and fortifying its facilities with bunkers and sandbags as a precaution against a wingnut “open carry” demonstration getting out of hand. Imagine the reaction if one actually did so though. The entire right-wing would go bug-fuck crazy and demand a B-52 strike in response.
