It’s just like the flu. This is anecdotal but these stories are not hard to find. Will take a while to assess the survivors burdened with long term or permanent damage from COVID.

#coronavirus is likely to be the Polio of our generation. It might get cured, but the long term effects will be with us for years, and we have to get serious now about what healthcare in that world will have to look like

The line about COVID-19 being the “polio of our generation”….I agree entirely. There’s going to be long-term health effects that we’re going to have be prepared to deal with. I can tell my lung capacity has been reduced, though I can’t make a guess as to the percentage. When things settle down here in a month or so, I’ll go visit my doc.
