Why are you leaving out those who are not living there who have fostered that environment? The environment of antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment is in no way special to Palestine.
Portraying this as Israel vs. Palestine misses the forest for the trees.
Hamas does not operate as a totalitarian entity. They act like a bunch of thugs. They do not have the power to operate as a totalitarian state, they are not nearly well-organized enough to be called totalitarian. They are, as you rightly say, a criminal gang. They aspire to be totalitarian.
