Not to mention that the lyrics of “Born in the U.S.A.” are not exactly meant to convey happy patriotism. It’s a sad song about the USA, not a happy song.

I don’t think the right-wing ever had enough fucking brains to understand that, for some reason, because so many on the right keep using that as some sort of patriotic flag-waving song, when it’s anything but…

They don’t seem to have learned from their hero, Reagan’s mistake of using the song for his ‘84 campaign.
