Big, bloomin’ deal. US Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the president. If he decides he wants to remove one to hand the office off as a political plum, he may do so. If he decides he does like how one is doing his job, he can remove them. It’s his right. The US Attorney matter was and remains a nontroversy, ginned up by the Democrats to attack George W. Bush.
If it was a nontroversy, why can’t Alberto Gonzales find a job?
