re: #77 RealityBasedSteve

I knew that khaki was Persian, but didn’t know that was what it meant. wasn’t it brought into the english language by the English military when they were stationed and empire building there?

I am NOT a designer / graphics person, (putting it mildly). One friend of mine commented that “You’re the only person in the world I know of that thinks having 4 dark blue polo shirts is that same as having 4 different shirts”.

I do have to admit that one of my ex’s did get me into wearing colors that I wouldn’t have bought for myself, and I can rock some eggplant or pink shirts.

Thanks :)

Hmmm, I don’t know how it ended up in our vocabulary, but British nation building makes sense.

LOL re the dark blue shirts.

Good on you for not being afraid of color! ;)
