And the thing is it could well happen. I mean I honestly thought Romney was among the worst they could do in 2012 all things considered. A person that basically oozed snobbish douchebag who didn’t care about anyone other than himself. Now we have Snobby Bigoted Douchebag. Mitt may not want to admit it but he is probably more like Trump than any other GOP nominee i nthe past.

With Romney, there was a veneer of civilization that people could use to fool themselves into thinking Romney wasn’t a sociopath like most GOPers.

Trump dispenses with that veneer of civilization, and is blatant about the bigotry. Both of these charming features have been big hits with the GOP base.
