Tensions between Lebanon and Israel at high levels

“Tensions have been heightened in the Middle East after Lebanon detained a man accused of spying for Israel for more than 15 years.

It is the latest in a series of arrests that Lebanese officials claim has hit an Israeli operation targeting Hezbollah - the Shiite movement, backed by Iran, that fought Israel in 2006.

The crisis over Iran’s nuclear ambitions, and worries that it could spark an Israeli attack, is only adding to concerns.
