Good morning Lizards. 77 F and cloudy in “sunny” Philadelphia.

Back from my week long “exile” to the wild cornfields of southern Illinois. No cell phone reception, no wireless (and very limited internet access), and at least having A/C available to make the stay tolerable. Spent the time hashing through stuff with a business partner (he does the work, I supply money), looking through the “new” cooking facility, cooking and eating food, and basically just hanging out.

Transit to and from was interesting since I drove and made a number of stops. Saw friends in a number of cities (Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Marietta) and also got time to stop and visit the Patton Museum at Fort Knox before a chunk of the collection gets moved to Georgia. And I did a fair job of getting off the interstates for a piece of the driving to slow down and enjoy the rural areas in the Midwest for a bit.

And then I encountered a Cadillac on the outskirts of Carbondale with four homemade “Watch Glenn Beck” bumper stickers…
