I can’t imagine how John Yoo can be considered brilliant by anyone, and yet he seems to have attracted a lot of positive notice and as far as I know is still on the faculty at Boalt Hall (UC Berkeley) Perhaps its a brilliant ability to twist things to one’s preferred way of thinking? Torture is OK? Same sex marriage needs to wait until everyone is happy about it? The Constitution? Who needs it?
