My mom is a blonde, blue-eyed Sephardic Jew. She tans like me, to a levantine brown, but we both stay out of the sun so we’re very pale.

Is your mom’s family from Syria? Never quite understood it but there was a large blonde blue eyed Jewish population in Syria.
