I had horrible physical symptoms when I quit, using the patch.
Turns out that even though I was a pack a day smoker (sometimes more) for decades, the patch was giving me a HUGE nicotine overdose.
Stopped using the patch, horrible symptoms disappeared.

I’m doing it cold turkey. From what I’ve read, it’s considered the best way to quit.
